Lock-down Latency

22nd May 2020 – Martyn

“We hope you can stick with us and other game studios who have also been affected during these turbulent times”

Before I get to the topic at-hand, I’d like to mention we’ll be releasing a small update to the game in the next day or two, with lots of bug-fixes and a few new features. You’ll be able to check out the full patch-notes here, once it goes live.

As we all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken its toll on the production within many industries, and The Dwarves of Glistenveld isn’t immune to this effect either. Over the last couple of months the Nysko Team have been fortunate enough to be able to continue work from home, and ensure that production on TDoG continues at its usual pace, at least to the best of our abilities. Providing our players with new content in patches & updates has been at the forefront of our efforts; however we have finally hit a snag. Due to the lock-down’s effect on our jobs & other life commitments, production on TDoG will slow down over the next couple of months.

What will this mean?

We are still working on the game, that won’t change, but the team’s availability and ability to produce content has significantly diminished. This means a longer period before the next patch/update rolls out, and our blog and social media posts will also be affected. So if there’s a period where we have stopped posting or releasing content, rest assured this is only temporary, and we will return to our weekly rotor once things have returned to normal!

Please bear with us folks. Fingers crossed the pandemic will run its course soon; however until it does, we hope you can stick with us and other game studios who have also been affected during these turbulent times!

Hope you are all keeping safe and well, and may your beards and braids always be blessed!
