“We’re not only improving on how the dwarves look but also adding new skin tones and, of course, the long-awaited female versions!”
It’s been a bit hectic here at Nysko Games! Perry and I were struck down one by one by ailments, but the team kept the Glistenveld flag flying in our absence. Our focus always has been and will always be on the production of TDoG. And now we’ve drunk our health potions and gathered our phoenix downs, we’re back and ready to crack on!
From our last update, you may know that the dwarves are undergoing a bit of a transformation. We’re not only improving on how the dwarves look but also adding new skin tones and, of course, the long-awaited female versions!
However, it’s not only the dwarves who’ve had a makeover. The goblins have also evolved. This new goblin represents one of the four goblin classes: The Goblin Worker!
We’ll announce the other 3 classes as the development moves forward. 😉
We’ve also got a new piece of music to add to the game! This one was hidden from me for a while (I blame Perry) but I love it all the same 😛 … Here’s a small snippet:
Now an update from the design team – we are hard at work putting together the levels that will feature in Chapter One. The scripts for each of the levels have already been written up, and the levels designed. I just need to script the levels myself and then they can be passed onto QA. With that said, we already have three people working on chapter two content. My plan going forward is that once we release chapter one on Steam, chapter two will not be far behind.
Keep an eye out on our social platforms where we will be releasing more updated content shortly to show off some of the awesome work our team has been doing. I think I will always say this, but it is great to see how far our game has developed since the very start. Seeing the game in its current state is all thanks to the amazing team we have here at Nysko Games. It just goes to show how much a dedicated team of creative individuals can accomplish.
But, in other news, we made it into this month’s POV! A publication from Creative Quills who are based at the Knowledge Gateway in Colchester. I’d just like to thank Creative Quills again for including us into this month’s publication. Check it out when you’ve got some time to find out about the exciting work that’s going on in the Games Hub.
At any rate, that’s all I have for you for now. We will cover more artsy things in our next blog with David so keep your eyes peeled for that.
