“The game proved very popular, we ran out of badges by the second day but gave out loads of business cards.”
We attended Norwich Gaming Festival 2018 last week, presenting The Dwarves of Glistenveld to the public. It was amazing to see everyone coming to play the game. This year was my first time attending NGF, with Perry, Martyn and Faye going last year. It was a really impressive venue and the talks were interesting to see. This year we had a large contingent with us; Perry, Martyn, Melissa, Dan and Myself so we were all on force to get the word out about Dwarves.
Thanks to our new artist David, we were able to stand out with a fantastic looking shroud around our screen this year. You can see it above with our resident dwarf impersonator, Perry.
The game proved very popular, we ran out of badges by the second day but gave out loads of business cards. Even though it was the second outing of the new tutorial we all thought it went down quite well. We’ve had loads of useful feedback from people playing the game and Perry is already hard at work making changes based on it. For example, he found a bug where the dwarves would try and sweep away invisible dust piles.
The festival also allowed us to see so many fellow indie developers presenting their games. There was a large variety of games on show, from adventure games, to couch co-op space games.
To see if you got snapped with us drop us a follow on Instagram @Nyskogames and to keep updated with everything Dwarves.
